Hi! I’m Paula

I’m a photographer and cyanotype artist. My work centers on hand-printed cyanotypes created from my own photographs. Pieces designed to invite pause, wonder, and connection. I believe art should live with us, gathering meaning over time and quietly becoming part of the stories our homes tell.

Each cyanotype begins as a photograph. Through a slow, hands-on process, those images are translated into blue using traditional cyanotype printing. Exposed by the sun on cotton rag paper, every print carries subtle variations in tone, texture, and edges. No two are ever exactly alike.

My years in interior design taught me to layer and edit with intention. That instinct shapes not only the work I create, but the way I think about living with art. I work with homeowners and designers to select, place, and build thoughtful art collections that feel personal, cohesive, and deeply at home in the spaces they live in.

Alongside my cyanotypes, I offer a small collection of fine art photographic prints, guided by the same attention to composition, light, and restraint.

I'm honored to be represented by Miller Gallery and to have my work featured by Serena & Lily.

I've called a lot of places home. Seattle, Southern California, Boston, and Chicagoland. But for the past fifteen years, Charleston has been my muse. Its historic architecture, lush gardens, tidal marshes, and ever-changing light continue to shape the way I see.

When my camera is set aside, I'm happiest at home on the marsh with my husband Tim, our daughter Cora, and our golden retriever, Lila.
